Skills Maintenance for Electrical Inspectors

NECA is providing Skills Maintenance CPD for all classes of licensed electrical inspectors. Gordon TAFE are providing skills maintenance CPD for G and L Class inspectors.

Please be advised that the G class course will be available at NECA from October 2023. Please see their website for details.

Due to the current low demand, there are some delays to these CPD courses being available. Please be advised that any delay in completing your CPD will not adversely affect your licence renewal.

When you log into ESVConnect to renew, just apply for an extension of time to complete your CPD requirements. Your renewal application will be processed and an extension of time to complete your CPD will be granted for 12 months.

Skills Development training providers

Accredited training can be delivered by a registered training organisation (RTO) or an Australian University.

Non-accredited training must be delivered by an Energy Safe accepted provider.

Accredited training providers

To find an accredited provider, please see our list of RTOs delivering electrical training in Victoria.

Training from other RTOs may be acceptable if the training is within the required categories. Interstate RTOs may also be acceptable.

Non-accredited training providers

A list of non-accredited training providers will be available here in early FY 24–25.

Information for potential training providers

If your organisation is considering applying to deliver CPD Skills Development non-accredited courses, please read the ‘Skills Development – Training Provider guidelines – non-accredited courses’.
