CPD is not required for these classes:

  • Supervised (L) licence holders will not be required to undertake CPD, as they do not renew licences, and must make an application for a new licence when their licence expires.
  • Occupier's licence holders are not required to undertake CPD.

1 CPD for Licensed Electrical Inspectors

For Licensed Electrical Inspectors:

All LEIs will be required to complete a 4-hour core module. They will also be required to complete a supplementary 4-hour module for each licence class they hold (G, H, M, V, RE).

Please be advised that any delay in completing your CPD due to a course not being available will not adversely affect your licence renewal.

When you log into ESVConnect to renew, just apply for an extension of time to complete your CPD requirements. Your renewal application will be processed and an extension of time to complete your CPD will be granted for 12 months.

2 CPD for Licensed Lineworkers

CPD training courses for Licensed Lineworkers will be available from April 2025.

Lineworkers will be required to complete a CPD training session for each licence class they hold (C/D, T, R). The training courses for C and D class licences are run together – if a licence holder holds both C and D class, they will only need to attend one training session to cover both these licence classes.
