Energy Safe Victoria is responsible for the protection of underground and underwater structures from the corrosive effects of stray electrical currents – Electrolysis.
We do this by registering Cathodic Protection Systems (CPS) and monitoring responsible entities for compliance to their obligations under the Electricity Safety Act 1998 and the Electricity Safety (Cathodic Protection) Regulations 2019.
