Overview
Energy Safe Victoria is the service provider to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for the Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Program.
The Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Program is an initiative of the Australian Government, states and territories and the New Zealand Government to improve the energy efficiency of appliances and equipment.
Regulated products must meet the required Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) and/or carry an Energy Rating Label. The requirements are set in the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Act 2012 and for individual product types, the relevant GEMS Determinations.
