Gas and electrical safety at work

One of Energy Safe Victoria's roles is to educate and inform businesses, workers and the broader community about gas and electricity safety issues to improve overall safety outcomes for people, property and the environment.

Gas and electricity are inherently dangerous. It is illegal and potentially fatal for unlicensed and unqualified people to undertake any gasfitting or electrical work.

Businesses must engage the services of qualified and licensed electrical workers and gasfitters to undertake any work on their premises. Never do it yourself with electricity or gas.
